PROSECUTOR FRASER KELLY IS AN A-HOLE POSSIBLY LOOKING OUT FOR HIS CAREER RATHER THAN LOOKING OUT FOR THE PUBLIC INTEREST
HMM I'm not a lawyer and while Canadian Libel laws aren't as bad (i.e. slanted) as they once were, nevertheless do I need to add "in my opinion" to the above title? Hmm I have to think about that a bit. Regardless Fraser Kelly, in my opinion, behaved contrary to the public interest and just plain nastily towards me as indicated in the Waterloo Region Record article of Thursday March 24, 2016, written by Paige Desmond. First of all let me address the claim that "...some charges were improperly laid." Really? And did I ever claim to be either a lawyer or a judge? And does not the Municipal Elections Act (MEA) specifically state that citizens are permitted BY LAW to lay charges against politicians who have contravened the Municpal Election Act? Yes it does. And did not that slippery, slimy politician, Sandy Shantz, admit to a number of violations and contraventions of the Municipal Elections Act, albeit not to all of them. Yes she did. And finally for the benefit of citizens (such as myself) who are not legal experts I might add that these charges are actually laid by a Justice of the Peace! A formal, certified and professionally paid Justice of the Peace (J.P.) takes the "Information" i.e. evidence from a citizen and then the J.P. decides whether or not there is sufficent to lay charges and whether or not the charges are appropriate. Therefore to put it simply the long established, status quo justice system is in charge of EVERYTHING including the laying of charges. Therefore that ".-HOLE" Fraser Kelly needed to make that distinction clearer to both the media and the public.

Reporter Paige Desmond very accurately quoted me as follows "If the Crown (F. Kelly) advises that the specific laws broken by Mayor Shantz are minor or trivial then...clearly I missed that part of the (Municipal Elections Act) which specifically stated that the following sections are trivial or minor, therefore merely suggestions to be followed by election candidates, if they feel like it,".

What is the lesson learned by citizens with Mr. Kelly's ridiculous decision? Well firstly the law once again is an ass by allowing its' written words to be unilaterally overruled by an individual. Secondly the Rule of Law is utter bulls.it when clearly big shots and politicians are given free passes from legal enforcement whereas the poor, middle class and ordinary citizens face serious and prolonged legal repercussions from contraventions they have made.
