A DIFFERENT BIOGAS LETTER TO THE EDITER

This letter by current Councillor Sandy Shantz is an appeal for a more civilized approach to the disagreement in the community in regards to the Biogas proposal. It was published in both the Independent and the Observer. It is on page 15 in this week's
Woolwich Observer. I'm personally having difficulties interpreting Sandy's remarks. Maybe I'm overthinking things so I'll leave it to you the readers' to decide how much or how little you agree with her opinion.

  1. What disagreement? A civilized response to the idea of massive amounts of liquid manure purposely being brought to town for processing at some huge new plant, is hard for most to manage. How a few can embrace this, I'm not sure!

  2. Our Council is typical of most municipal Councils which means that they are right wing, pro business, pro environment only if it doesn't cost them or their friends and colleagues one red cent. I agree that the system is strongly biased in favour of business, and the environment and individual rights be damned.
