HAWK RIDGE HOMES

The meeting for yesterday at 11 am. in the Woolwich Council Chambers was adjourned until a later unspecified date. I found this out when I showed up for the meeting. This proposed residential development is for the corner of Union and First St.in Elmira. The location is the former apple orchard owned by Regional Chair Ken Seiling's mother prior to her passing on. Provincial guidelines had intended for properties beside chemical companies to be zoned industrial possibly commercial but certainly not residential. That oversight may well come back to bite Woolwich Council. The presence of Sulco, Chemtura and the former Varnicolor Chemical mere yards away is extremely dangerous and buffer zones are a good idea and more.
