WOOLWICH COUNCIL MEETING LAST EVENING

Just another stinker although after decades of effort I can report that Woolwich Council are much better behaved than they used to be. Former councillor Mark Bauman was the first to realize that verbal sparring with someone (me) who has more direct knowledge of Uniroyal/Lanxess in his little finger than all the councillors and mayor combined was not going to work for them. Hence they did not interrupt my Delegation however they did indicate their lack of knowledge or perhaps biases by not asking a single question.

I spoke for seven minutes as permitted and focused on Lanxess and the MECP's having turned a blind eye to the issues of DNAPLS as well as the issues of DDT and Dioxins migrating off-site of Lanxess onto both Nutrite/Yara and likely to the now admitted DNAPL found beside the Howard St. Water Tower and pumping well W4. By turning a blind eye I mostly mean lying like dogs about it for decades. Only recently (last June 19/25 ) was there allegedly an admission as per the Minutes released months later that there used to be DNAPLS at pumping well W4. Other tidbits about that include the fact that W4 by itself pumped more chlorobenzene out of the groundwater than all the other off-site pumping wells combined which is precisely because it had free phase chlorobenzene DNAPL immediately beside it.

Here's another tidbit without formal admissions or explanations yet. Off-site pumping well W3 pumped more NDMA out of the Elmira Aquifers than all the other pumping wells combined. Think carefully about that if you will. That well is located one or two hundred yards/metres due south of Sanyo and also pretty close to the former McKee Harvestor in the south end of town.

Yes Dorothy we've been lied to on so many fronts by so many allegedly honest persons in authority here in Elmira.
