LESS THAN EVEN TALKING TO LOCAL RESIDENTS MUCH LESS LISTENING TO THEM

Uniroyal Chemical and successors along with Woolwich Township faked real Public Consultation for decades however in fact they didn't even want pretend public consultation for years until they realized how much they could cover their tracks by selling all their snake oil to an incompetent, uninformed, deferential bunch of part time volunteers. UPAC, CPAC, RAC, TAG, and TRAC were and are merely a smoke screen to hide behind. Same thing with the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MECP). When it comes to Push and Shove the MECP has neither.

The instant Sandy Shantz got rid of CPAC in the summer of 2015 all hope for a real cleanup was lost. All hope for any kind of an honest investigation of the Stroh farm was also lost.  In hindsight if Lanxess had little or no plans to clean up the Creek then why would they care about the Stroh farm via the Stroh Drain, Ditch & Berm discharging contaminants into the Canagagigue Creek?

Same thing on the other (west) side of Uniroyal/Lanxess. The Nutrite/Yara property had extraordinarily high concentrations of DNAPL chemicals clearly indicating the probability that DNAPLS had already flowed from Uniroyal's former landfill (M2) over to the Nutrite property. Yet again simple denial followed by ignoring the issue knowing that the new Sandy inspired deferential TAG (later TRAC) committees would play nice at all times.

Finally there were DNAPLS discovered and ignored at OW57-32, 100 feet below ground surface, beside the Howard St. Water Tower. They could have come from Uniroyal directly or from either Borg Textiles or Varnicolor Chemical. Exactly zero attempt was made to determine anything about them. The coverup was proceeding nicely thank you and any unusual discoveries especially of DNAPL could rock that boat. Allegedly and falsely Uniroyal was the sole source of pollutants in Elmira and anybody else was a distraction. This was why Richard Clausi, Susan Rupert, Ted Oldfield and I had to expose first hand lying and coverups by the Ministry of Environment before they would admit that Varnicolor Chemical were a very bad actor.
